Triumph Engineering & Design, Inc. (TED) provides a multi-disciplinary quality of architecture and engineering. We have been able to provide our clients and communities with extensive experience in space planning, architectural and engineering design, and construction cost estimating.
Triumph Engineering & Design, Inc. (TED) is currently searching for a talented Electrical Designer in the State of Michigan. The job opening is a full time, permanent position at our office located in Grand Blanc, MI.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: ELECTRICAL DESIGNER
With limited supervision, provide the technical, organizational and communication skills to produce well-designed and coordinated construction documents for electrical systems.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Electrical design for multi-family residential facilities and commercial buildings including hotels, shopping centers, restaurants and warehouses
- Power and lighting design
- Load calculations
- Prepare construction documents - drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams, fixture schedules, panel schedules and other specific details related to the project
- Communicate and meet with clients
- Coordinate with other necessary design disciplines
- Approval of electrical submittals related to client construction administration
- Job site visits for field verification, measurements
Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Lighting Software, Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC)

- Degree in progress in related field
- Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills
